We received this product yesterday and have taken it out of the box for examination and first use. My fear was that this was going to be a thin piece of glass which would make it very fragile with normal use. I have read many reviews here on Amazon describing several other brands having this issue. This is a large and durable decanter. It is nicely weighted and is not a thin cheap piece of glass.
Wine pours into it easily and the very wide bottom allows wine to "bloom" and the separation of sediment quick and easy. I highly recommend these cleaning beads to clean your decanter: Riedel Bottle Cleaner Beads 1.75-Inch, Black Container with Lid
