If anyone has Spiegelau glasses they purchased prior to Riedel buying Spiegelau, I have two words of advice - caveat emptor. I have a number of older Speigelau glasses, some of which I use daily. They have gone through my dishwasher hundreds of times without any visible wear. Amazing! Because daily use sometime results in breakage, I wanted to augment my supply. The glasses sold here by Amazon are cheap downgrades. The Spiegelaus that I have are one-piece blown glass. The ones I ordered are two pieces, crudely grafated together with a huge glop of glass "cement" between the top and bottom. Ugly! It's too bad that apparently Riedel is making lousy Spiegelaus so you need to buy premium-priced Riedels. I am looking for an alternative brand :-(
