I purchased the Marquis crystal based on Amazon's product description; "does not contain lead content of crystal" and "Unlike leaded crystal glasses are dishwasher safe". According to various web sites Marquis crystal contains 24% lead. A lable on the bottom of the glass says, "contains Lead". Waterford does not recommend a dishwasher for cleaning. I rated this product one star because the product description is wrong and misleading. The crystal is good looking but heavy and all eight glasses arrived quickley without damage.
